The final Storm

There comes a moment when one can’t hide from it, from yourself. The moment where you stand naked against a raging storm and face the cold hard reality of who and what you are. Ralph has no illusions, Laurie was his haven, his shelter from the storm, without which Ralph can hide nowhere. And as Ralph stares up the hospital stairs into the beautiful pale drawn face staring down at him and the words ‘to many Bunny’s’ ringing in his ears, Ralph knows that finally he has nowhere else to hide, and that all he can do now is face the storm head on, take its final fury, and shelter Laurie from its wrath as best he can.
